Introduction to Intervention with Children Aged 5 to 13 Vulnerable to Suicide
Training objectives
At the end of this training, the gatekeeper will be able to :
Recognize signs of suicidal vulnerability in children
Intervene to reduce risk and psychological distress
Provide appropriate follow-up
Identify suicidal intent and promote the child’s safety
Assess the presence of suicidal intent
Ensure the child’s safety
Develop a collaborative action plan with the child and their support network
Consider the child’s understanding of death in the risk assessment
Terms and conditions
- This training is offered to participants from the same organization in a closed group or for a mixed group composed by individuals from different organizations.
- The number of participants per group :
- minimum of 6 and maximum of 12
- A certificate of training is issued upon completion of the entire course.
