Gatekeeper training for
suicide prevention

Training for organizations wishing to implement a suicide prevention program

Who is this training for?

A Gatekeeper is defined as an adult who, through their work, volunteer activities, role within their environment or community, or their natural listening abilities, may come into contact with individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts. Gatekeepers are volunteers who commit to this role and receive both training and ongoing support within their organization or community.

This training is intended for various organizations , including community, corporate, educational, and other institutions that wish to establish a Gatekeeper network within their environment. The goal is to identify and support colleagues who may be in distress or experiencing suicidal ideation.

Implementing a Gatekeeper network requires the designation of a person responsible within the organization to ensure the ongoing coordination and support of the network following the training. The CPSM offers tailored guidance and support to assist in this process.

**If your goal is to better recognize signs of distress among other populations (e.g., students, service users, etc.), we invite you to consult our list of training programs to identify the one that best meets your specific needs.
