The concrete impact of your donation

Individual donations
Every donation can change a life.

By supporting SPCM, you are doing much more than just making a donation. You are enabling people in distress to receive compassionate, rapid, and professional intervention, as well as essential support when they need it most. Your generosity helps break isolation and restore hope to those who are going through periods of great vulnerability.

In 2024, thanks to the support of our donors, 51 communities were able to receive postvention support, helping individuals and communities affected by suicide.

Together, let’s continue to build a strong, humane, and supportive network of mutual aid.

Major donations
Making a major donation is an investment in life.

As a committed partner in the business community or philanthropic sector, your contribution to SPCM ensures the sustainability of essential services in suicide prevention intervention, training, and awareness. Your support enables our team to strengthen our capacity to respond to urgent needs, innovate, and reach a growing number of people who need help.

In 2024-2025, the commitment of our donors translated into more than 36,000 interventions with people in distress and their loved ones. Your donations become lasting levers for change and hope.

Citizen initiative
Every citizen initiative builds solidarity.

The initiatives led by our community are at the heart of the suicide prevention movement in Montreal. Every activity, fundraiser, and event organized by committed citizens helps to raise awareness, bring people together, and spread hope.

By supporting the SPCM, you are helping to create a space for open dialogue about mental health and collective well-being. Thanks to these initiatives and our donors, more than 10,000 people are reached each year with a clear and life-affirming message: Talking about suicide is already prevention!

Alain Champagne
Ambassador of the My anchor point, regaining power
"I was immediately struck by the positive energy of the SPCM team, their mission, and the tangible impact they have on vulnerable populations. I set up the Amélie Champagne Fund with the same goal in mind—to help people experiencing distress and support them in overcoming these challenges. I was also directly inspired by their community support project, as I believe this innovative approach would have made a real difference in Amélie's life during her darkest days."
Vanessa Da Costa
Ambassador of the project Reinforcement, support in the community
"After the loss of my brother, SPCM was there for me and my family when everything seemed to be falling apart. Today, my love for him has turned into a commitment through the Reinforcement, support in the community. This project aims to better support people who have lost a loved one to suicide and provide them with the tools they need to get through this difficult time. If my story can bring comfort, prevent tragedy, or inspire others, then his memory will continue to shine."
